PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automobile weather strip and a manufacturing method for it, by which costs in die molding can be lowered, by miniaturizing a metal die and a press. SOLUTION: In manufacture of a weather strip for a sashless door type vehicle, in which an upper end of a pillar weather strip 14 is installed to roof side weather strips 2A, 2B, hollow seal parts 14a, 14b on the front and rear sides of the pillar weather strip 14 and a connection part 14c connecting these hollow seal parts together are integrally molded in line by extrusion molding. A slit 15 is formed upward from the lower end of the connection part 14c. The lower ends of the both hollow seal parts 14a, 14b are set in the cavity of a metal die in nearly chevron shape. Then, molding material M is injected so that the slit 15 is molded, while the lower part of the pillar strip 14 is fixed in the form widened toward the end. At the same time, a terminal part 16 is molded in the lower end of the pillar weather strip 14, and a pillar molding 17 is fixed to the connection part 14c. |
