<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make sure of existence of pin holes by packaging a plastic container having bicarbonate-containing chemical liquid with a high gas-barrier packing material, and packing, in a space between the container and a packaging material, an indicator which discolors due to a change in pH according to a change of a gas composition in the space. SOLUTION: Bicarbonate-containing chemical liquid is filled in a plastic container 2 made of polyvinyl chloride, and after the container 2 and an indicator 3 are housed in a packaging material 4, a container package is heat-sealed for sealing in a vacuum. Thereafter, the container package 1 is sterilized by high pressure vapor sterilization. A pin hole is opened by a needle on a surface of the packaging material 4 of the container package 1 and change in color of the indicator 3 is examined as time goes, as a result, the indicator changes in color from transparent to pale pink 14 hours later. On the other hand, the indicator 3 without a pin hole does not change in color. Occurrence of pin holes or degradation in gas barrier ability can be easily recognized based on appearance.</p> |
