PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a fire-resisting and heat-insulating sheet that forms heat- insulating swollen layers, when it is heated by applying a phosphorus compound, a thermally expandable graphite undergoing a neutralization treatment as well as a water-containing inorganic substance and/or inorganic carbonate to woven fabric or nonwoven fabric made of non-combustible fibers. SOLUTION: Woven fabric or non-woven fabric of non-combustible fibers such as ceramic fibers or glass fibers of 0.5-10 mm thickness is treated with 50-1,500 mg, per 1 cm<3> of the woven or non-woven fabric, of ammonium polyphosphate and 5-200 mg of thermally expandable graphite undergoing a neutralization treatment, together with a half to double amount, based on both of above-cited additives, of water-containing inorganic substance such as aluminum hydroxide or magnesium hydroxide and/or a carbonate salt such as calcium carbonate or zinc carbonate. Then, 100 pts.wt. of a (meth)acryl monomer component and 0.2-10 pts.wt. of a silane coupling agent bearing a copolymerizable double bond are copolymerized on one or both faces of the woven or non-woven fabric to provide acrylic adhesive layer(s) of 10-200μm thickness and, in addition, a wire net(s) are laminated to give the objective fire-resisting and heat- insulating sheet.
|
