Production of inorganic pigment or filler granulates containing inorganic binder(s) and NOTGREATER 5 wt.% water, with a particle diameter of 100 mu m to 2 mm, comprises treating an aqueous pigment or filler suspension with a salt as binder and also an organic or organo-metallic liquefying agent (I) and then granulating this suspension, so that (I) is decomposed thermally, without leaving organic residues in the granulate.
