PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve visibility at night by providing a light guide plate type traffic control sign without attenuation of luminous intensity at low temperature. SOLUTION: A traffic control sign is formed on a combination of a light guide plate 5, a sign 1 and a light source 8. The light guide plate 5 is a transparent acrylic plate that totally reflects incoming light from the end face, so as to go out of one face of the plate. The sign 1 is fitted to a light outgoing face 5c of the light guide plate 5, and the light source 8 is an LED 8a emitting white light. The LED 8a emitting white light does not attenuate the luminous intensity at low temperature and is arranged at the light incoming end face 5a of the light guide plate 5 so as to make the sign fitted to the light outgoing face 5c of the light guide plate 5, emits surface light. |
