PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make data inputting operations capable of being operated with ease even by any operator. SOLUTION: This machine is equipped with a manual operation type pulse generator, a parallel moving means 3 moving a helical cutting tool 6 in parallel, a rotation moving means 4 rotating the helical cutting tool 6 around an axial line, and with a grinding wheel 5a grinding the helical cutting tool 6. When the lead angle of the cutting tool 6 is in a specified range, the cutting tool 6 is moved in parallel in the longer direction while being interlocked with the generation of pulses by a pulse generator so as to allow the cutting tool 6 to be rotated around the axial line by an angle proportional to the quantity of movement in the longer direction, and when the lead angle exceeds a specified angle, the cutting tool 6 is rotated around the axial line while being interlocked with the generation of pulse by the pulse generator, and concurrently, the cutting tool 6 is moved in parallel in the longer direction by the quantity of movement proportional to the rotation angle around the axial line. |
