PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of sagging and rocking of a base without lowering the throughput speed and form a uniform film. SOLUTION: Coating sections 19 are formed at the equal intervals in the carrying direction on an electrode base 19 intermittently coated by applying an electrode admixture 44 on both faces by a coating unit 27, and after coating, the electrode base is transferred into a drying unit 29 and drying is carried out successively by a first drying section 47 and a second drying section 49. The first drying section 47 is provided with a hot blast nozzle 55 blowing out hot air introduced into a hot blast duct 51, and a plurality of clamping sections 63 disposed at the same intervals on respective uncoated sections 19a are fitted on a metal belt 57 disposed in a manner of encircling the periphery of the hot blast duct 51. The clamping sections 63 are moved together with the metal belt 57 at the speed same as the carrying speed of the electrode base 19, while the clamped uncoated sections 19a are clamped and fixed by the clamping sections from both of upper and lower faces. |
