CAP FOR INK JET PRINTHEAD AND INK JET PRINTER USING THE CAP

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the residual amount of ink sticking to a face of a discharge opening after a recovery process intended to discharge ink forcibly from the discharge opening by applying a sucking force by providing capping to an ink jet printhead. SOLUTION: An absorber 101 is arranged in a cap 29, and the shape and thickness are fixed appropriately so that the absorber 101 may be positioned near a discharge opening during capping, thereby collecting ink filling a space in the cap or ink sticking to the discharge opening during capping into the absorber effectively after suction treatment.
