PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject ameliorant capable of naturally ameliorating dull skin color without impairing bare skin texture. SOLUTION: This dull skin color ameliorant contains such powder that, when the skin or a skin-colored substrate consisting of skin-like artificial leather is uniformly coated therewith at a level of 8 mg/100 cm<2> ,ΔL* andΔb* determined by the formulas:ΔL*=L1 *-L0 * andΔb*=b1 *-b0 * using the color measurement before coating (L0 *, a0 *, b0 *) and that after coating (L1 *, a1 *, b1 *) each specified by the CIE 1976 L*a*b* color specification system satisfy the relationships:ΔL*>0 andΔb*<0.
