PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method and device therefor for jetting a very small amount of highly viscous ink stably at high speed without increasing the consumption energy, without bleeding for various kinds of mediums to be recorded and forming a highly minute image of high picture quality at high speed. SOLUTION: Color ink 1 is deposited on the surface of a flat ink carrier 2 in a uniform pattern shape, and the ink carrier 2 is heated partially in accordance with an image information. At that time, a gas layer 4 is generated on the interface between the ink carrier 2 and the color ink 1 or in the vicinity thereof. The color ink 1 is flown by the pressure produced at the time of generation of the gas layer 4 and made to adhere on a medium 6 to be recorded and form an image. When the color ink 1 is deposited on the ink carrier 2 in the independent ink drop shape, resistance received from the periphery by the color ink 1 is very small and uniform, so even ink drops 5 of a high viscous color ink can be flown stably at high speed and recording can be carried out. |
