PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition giving a molded article having improved properties such as the decreased friction with mobile surface by diffusing a free radical initiator in an elastomer and polymerizing the product. SOLUTION: The objective polymer composition is produced by diffusing (A) a free radical initiator and (B) at least one kind of fluorinated olefin starting the polymerization by the component A (e.g. tetrafluoroethylene) in (C) an elastomer (e.g. vinylidene fluoride) and heating the component C to start the polymerization of the component B. The component C is preferably swollen before or during the diffusion of the component A or the component B or the components A and B in the component C.
