PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily connect resin sheets to each other and make use thereof by specifying the diameter of a rope and the thickness of a thermoplastic resin sheet and fusing mutual surfaces of the peripheral edges in which the rope is enveloped inside and folded back and using a joint in the enveloped part of the rope. SOLUTION: The diameter R of a rope 3 is made 5 mm or larger while using a thermoplastic fiber or the like and the relation of the diameter and the thickness L of a thermoplastic resin sheet 2 is set as L<=R/5. And the edge of the sheet 2 is processed to obtain a reinforcing effect. Then, the rope 3 undergoes the final twist of the surface of a primarily twisted monofilament bundle through heat fusion and is heated by a hot plate-contact method or the like. The peripheral edge of the thermoplastic resin sheet 2 is folded back to envelop the rope 3 and mutual surfaces of the folded-back peripheral edge are fused with heat to tightly fix the enveloped rope 3. And further, an edge treatment is applied to prepare the thermoplastic resin sheet 2. In this way, when the sheet 2 is loaded, the joint is prevented from coming off a slit owing to shift of the sheet 2 or the rope 3 or deformation of the rope 3 and hence, the reinforcing effect can be secured. |
