PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable easy production from any starting material such as gaseous, liq. or solid starting material by producing powder contg. multicomponent nanotubes consisting of baron and carbon or the like by a specified method. SOLUTION: Powder contg. multicomponent nanotubes consisting of baron and one or more among carbon, nitrogen and oxygen is produced by a method by which starting material is dissociated and evaporated by injection into DC arc plasma, high-frequency plasma or a combination of these preferably at a temp. above 1,000 deg.C and resultant gaseous phase chemical seeds are condensed into solid matter and collected as powder in a plasma generator. The starting material is preferably dissociated and evaporated by bringing the high temp. part of a plasma flame into contact with a sintered compact contg. the starting material. |
