PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a thin and lightweight hygroscopic water-soluble nonwoven fabric formed product quickly soluble in water for disposal treatment, disposable to sewage and having strength without softening by moisture absorption and especially as the thin and lightweight molded product used for medical care and nursing and fouled, having strength without softening by the moisture absorption and quickly soluble in water when dissolved therein and capable of being lightly disinfected and disposed to sewage. SOLUTION: This water-soluble nonwoven fabric is obtained by impregnating at least one polyvinyl alcohol-based nonwoven fabric or cloth with a water-soluble resin in the water-soluble nonwoven fabric formed product prepared by impregnating the water-soluble polyvinyl alcohol-based nonwoven fabric or fabric or two or more water-soluble polyvinyl alcohol-based nonwoven fabrics or cloths.
