PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve efficient power transmission by directly coupling a variety of linearly reciprocating movers, such as the piston of a compressor, to the pistons of an internal combustion engine. SOLUTION: The cylinder 4a of an internal combustion engine and the cylinder 4b of a compressor C are aligned with each other on a straight line. An inner circumferential sun gear 8a whose center O is at a position halfway between the internal combustion engine E and the compressor C and on the straight line is placed as if fixed. A planetary gear 10 is placed which can rotate on its own axis and around the inner circumferential sun gear 8a as it meshes with the inner circumferential sun gear 8a and which has a pitch-circle diameter which is half that of the inner circumferential sun gear 8a. A crank member having a shank that freely rotates about the center C is placed. The planetary gear 10 is freely rotationally supported at its center against the end of the arm of the crank member 14. A connecting rod 6 for connecting pistons 2a, 2b together is placed, and is pivotally coupled at its middle to the shank 12 on the side face of the edge of the planetary gear 10. |
