PURPOSE: To continuously excavate a tunnel for forming an outbreak in the construction of a curved tunnel section without stopping a shield machine, improve work efficiency, shorten a work schedule for the reduction of construction cost, and eliminate a need for a worker to enter a chamber behind a cutter head for the elimination of a danger and a heavy work. CONSTITUTION: Regarding a disc cutter 5 mounted on the front of a cutter head 3 in the front section of a shield machine body for excavating a baserock tunnel having a curved section, and capable of forming an outbreak at a curved section, the disc cutter 5 is held with a holding frame 11 via a bracket 12, and the frame 11 is supported on the cutter head 3 via a fixed pin bracket 13 at the side thereof, so as to be rotatable about a fixed pin 14. Also, a hydraulic cylinder 15 is mounted on the bottom of the frame 11. |
