PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the terminal equipment that informs of an electronic mail immediately when the server receives it. SOLUTION: The system is provided with a reception means 22 that receives data from a computer network, and a cathode ray tube display unit 17 that is displayed by converting data received by the reception means 22 into a video signal, a 1st power supply circuit 18 for the cathode ray tube display unit 17, a reception means 22 that receives a notice denoting reception of an electronic mail from a server, an ON means 20 that activates the 1st power supply circuit 18 when the reception means 22 receives the notice, a 2nd power supply circuit 19 that supplies power to the fetch means 22 and the reception means 22, and means 15, 22, 23 that read the electronic mail and displays it on the cathode ray tube display unit 17 when the ON means 20 activates the 1st power supply circuit 18. |
