PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an optical wiring board which allows high-density packaging and may be improved in working efficiency, such as connection switching work, by lining up and arraying many optical connection modules in module housing sections disposed in multiple stages within a frame and disposing these modules freely drawably in a longitudinal direction within the module housing sections. SOLUTION: The many optical connection modules 30 are arrayed in the module housing sections 21A of the apparatus side frame 20A. The optical connection modules 30 are so arrayed that many pieces thereof line up nearly densely in the transverse direction of the optical wiring board. The respective optical connection modules 30 are respective independently supported movably longitudinally and transversely by means of slide rails 41 disposed in the upper parts of the module housing sections 21A. The connection switching work may be easily carried out by drawing the optical connection modules 30 forward and backward with the optical wiring board. More particularly a front surface panel 32 is juxtaposed with optical junctures 33 and, therefore, the connection switching work may be easily carried simply by slightly drawing the optical connection modules 30 toward the operator. Not much space is needed for the working space. |
