PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure a correct control of drying operation by determining a correction value based on a measured water content and the fluctuation thereof, correcting the measured water content with the correction value to determine a corrected water content and then controlling the drying operation such that corrected water content reaches a set water content. SOLUTION: A stop water content set switch 32 sets a target for stopping the drying operation, i.e., a set water content Ms. A controller 14 controls the drying operation, through a control means 16, such that the water content M of grain measured by a water content gauge 40 during the drying operation of a grain dryer 2 will reach a target level, i.e., the set water content Ms, being set by the stop water content set switch 32. The controller 14 of the grain dryer 2 determines a correction valueΔM from the fluctuation of measured water content through the control means 16, corrects the measured water content M with the correction valueΔM to determine a corrected water content Mh and then controls the drying operation such that corrected water content Mh reaches the set water content Ms.
