PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a manufacturing method enabling mass production in a constant quality and easy handling without roughening a lens surface by preparing a mixture of a specified vinyl ester and a specified amount of triallyl isocyanurate and polymerizing it into a lens shape and hydrolyzing it. SOLUTION: The mixture of 100 pts.wt. of the vinyl ester represented by the formula and 0.05-5 pts.wt. of the triallyl isocyanurate is prepared and a mold composed of a male mold and a female mold is filled with this mixture and the mixture is irradiated with ultraviolet rays to form a lens-formed polymer and this polymer is hydrolyzed. In the formula, R is a hydrocarbon group, preferably, a 1-8 C alkyl or alkenyl or cycloalkyl or aryl group. The vinyl ester can be embodied by vinyl acetate, propionate, butyrate, pivalate, acrylate, and methacrylate, and the like. |
