PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten mirror parts mounting time of a parts mounting device and, at the same time, to improve the mirror parts aligning accuracy of the device. SOLUTION: Dummy parts 39 having a horizontal ridge line is placed on the position corresponding to an LD chip 17 on a correction stage 2a and, at the same time, a light source 40 is positioned behind the parts 39 so as to pick up the image of the silhouette 39a of the horizontal ridge line of the parts 39 reflected by an MM chip 15 with a TV camera. When the distance of the chip 15 from the horizontal ridge line of the parts 39 is deviated, the image of the silhouette 39a picked up with the TV camera is also deviated to that extent and, when the ridge line is deviated by an angle θ, the silhouette 39a is also rotated by the angle θ. Therefore, the position of the ridge line can be adjusted in the X-, Y and θ-directions, so that the silhouette 39a may be positioned to a prescribed position at a prescribed angle. |
