摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve cooling efficiency with respect to a battery, without requiring a great deal of electric power consumption. SOLUTION: A battery module 35 is stored in a battery frame 27 installed on the under surface of the floor of a car body 25 of an electric vehicle. The battery module 35 is composed so that a coolant, which works as a cooling liquid, is filled in a part surrounded by a hermetic wall 37a of a hermetic container 37, in which cylindrical cells 39 of plural batteries are stored. A condenser 41, equipped with a coolant passage 47 and a cooling fin 49, is installed on the upper side of the battery module 35. The coolant is heated and vaporized by the cells 39, which generates heat by a power consumption, and the vapor rises inside a vapor tube 43 and reaches the coolant passage 47. The vapor is cooled by the cooling fin 49 in this place to become a condensed liquid and then falls gravitationally inside a liquid-return tube 45 and returns to the hermetic container 37.</p>
