PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continuously use a composite machine by providing unit driving power sources which are individually on/off controlled by a control unit in an image reading unit and an image forming unit respectively. SOLUTION: The power sources 4, 5 and 6 being the power source constituted as a DC/DC converter are individually provided in the image reading unit 1, the image forming unit 2 and a control unit 3. The unit 3 individually on/off controls the power sources 4 and 5. When the original carrying motor of the unit 1 gets abnormal, only the power source 4 is turned off and an on-state is kept in other power sources 5 and 6. As a result, an image reading function stops but other functions are normally actuated. Therefore, the composite machine can not be used as a copying machine or a facsimile transmitter which uses the image reading function but can be used as a printer or a facsimile receiver which does not use that function. |
