PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the efficient processing of particle images or an efficient classification of particles by selecting and specifying a sample from a displayed sample list and displaying a particle image in a classification corresponding to the selected display. SOLUTION: This classification system is formed of a particle image automatic classifying device 1, a particle image classifying device 2 to reclassify automatically classified particle images and to classify not automatically classified particle images through the use of a display screen, and a server 12. A urine sample flowing from a flow cell 3 is irradiated with pulsed light from a flash lamp 4 and is converted into an image signal by a CCD camera 5. The characteristics of particles such as area, circumferential length, average concentration are detected, and particle images are classified by an image processing part 6 and are stored in the server 12. The particle images stored in the server 12 specifies the sample on a display 13, and the reclassification of particle images or highly accurate classifying operation is performed in a window through the use of the particle images displayed on the display 13.
