摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a liquid crystal element which allows the formation of a liquid crystal display device substantially preventing display unevenness within a wide visual range of front and oblique viewing directions and consists of the aligned matter of a liquid crystal polymer and an optical element and polarizer element using the same. SOLUTION: This liquid crystal element consists of the alignment layer of the liquid crystal polymer, of which the average haze within the plane is >=10%, the variation in the haze H% within the plane when the average haze is defined as a% is within the range expressed by equation: a-&radic;(10a)<=H<=a&radic;(10 a) or the average haze within the plane is <10% and the variation in the haze H% within the plane is 0<=H<=b+&radic;(10b) when the average haze thereof is defined as b%, or the alignment layer of the liquid crystal polymer installed on a supporting substrate. This optical element consists of the superposed body of this liquid crystal element and a phase difference plate. This polarizing element consists of the superposed body of the liquid crystal element or the optical element and a polarizing plate.
