PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a luminaire capable of restricting the generation of uncomfortable glare in luminous intensity distribution at all vertical angle by comparing an ideal luminous intensity obtained from a specified equation with a luminous intensity of the radiated light distribution at all vertical angle. SOLUTION: Luminous intensity I[cd/1000 lm] of the radiated light is determined for every vertical angleϕ[ deg.] for regulating an angle between the normal line from a light emitting surface and a direction to a view point of this apparatus based on a distribution curve of luminous intensity. An uncomfortable glare index UGR for every vertical angleϕis determined by using equation 2 so as to check the characteristic of the uncomfortable glare of the apparatus. Lb means back ground luminance, L means luminance of an apparatus as a light source,ωmeans a solid angle of the apparatus as a light source, and (p) means a positional index of Guth to be regulated by a height difference H between a light emitting surface and a view point and a horizontal distance R between the view point and the light emitting apparatus. Furthermore, an ideal luminous intensity I(ϕ) is obtained by using equation 1 on the basis of a light emitting area A of the luminaire. The luminous intensity I and the ideal luminous intensity I(ϕ) are compared with each other for every vertical angle so as to discriminate the existence of the uncomfortable glare. |
