PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve productivity in a double-sided recording mode without making the length of a carrying path for a recording sheet needlessly long. SOLUTION: This double-sided image recorder is equipped with a sheet carrying system 5 for double-sided recording for carrying a recording sheet 1 supplied from a sheet supply part 3 to an image forming part 2, reversing and carrying the sheet 1 to the forming part 2 again, and then ejecting the sheet 1 to a sheet ejection part 4. The system 5 is equipped with a plurality of sheet reversing parts 7 for reversing the sheet 1 in a returning carrying path 6 for the sheet 1 from the forming part 2. Furthermore, it is equipped with a sheet carrying control means 8 for performing the reversing operation of the sheet 1 by plural sheet reversing parts 7 in turn from a side separate from the forming part 2 along the path 6 for the sheet 1 in the case of selecting the double-sided recording mode. |
