PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing device and method for correcting color reproducibility at optimum timing. SOLUTION: While normal image forming processing with each color toner is executed, a solid image with black toner is formed on a photoreceptive drum, during the period from the completion of image forming processing with some color to the start of the next image forming processing (S13) and the presence of the execution of image density control (S18) for correcting the color reproducibility is controlled in accordance with the difference between the density value of the solid image and a prescribed value (S14 and S15). |
