PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer binder suitable for manufacturing the electrode of an organic electrolyte battery. SOLUTION: This binder contains a mixture of at least two kinds of polymers having functional groups with opposite polarities each other, one polymer having an acidic functional group and the other polymer, a basic functional group. and the binder containing the polymers soluble and form a complex capable of being identified by the measuring values of physical-chemical characteristics in the solution is used in an electrode.
