PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire for wire bonding, which can obtain the sufficient bending strength of a loop form part in the wire for wire bonding in a horizontal direction even if the length of the wire for wire bonding becomes long. SOLUTION: A wire for wire bonding 1 is obtained by making a projecting metal plate helical and giving a twist. The center part of a projecting metal plate 2 forming the wire for wire bonding has an arch-like projecting part 2a in a cross section. Thus, the strength of the projecting part 2a against a force especially from the peak direction (direction shown by a thick arrow) becomes high by providing such projecting part 2a on the metal plate. |
