DISPLAY INPUT OPERATING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a person who is familiar or nor familiar with handing a device to give an instruction to his desired device via a simple operation and in an easy-to-understand way. SOLUTION: A display part includes a liquid crystal display part 100 of a dot matrix and a touch panel 101 which is placed to cover the part 100. At the part 100, an overall outside drawing 102 of a digital copying machine is displayed. A main body part 103 related to the formation of an image is displayed at the upper center part of the drawing 102 with a postprocessor part 104 shown at the left of the drawing 102 and the paper feeder parts 105 shown at the right and lower center parts forming the drawing 102, respectively. These peripheral parts of the drawing 102 are put on each other to display an icon showing an operating instruction.
