PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber dispersion compensation device for an optical line that compensates for dispersion in an optical fiber in the case that an optical signal generated by an optical transmitter is sent to an optical receiver via the optical line. SOLUTION: The proposed system is provided with a dispersion compensation optical fiber 110 that compensates for a dispersion of an optical signal generated in an optical transmitter 100 by prediction and compensation in advance of a dispersion produced in an optical line 150, a dispersion compensation optical filter 130 that adjusts a dispersion of an optical signal whose dispersion is compensated for via the dispersion compensation fiber for zero dispersion, and an optical amplifier 140 that amplifies the signal whose dispersion is adjusted by the dispersion compensation filter and outputs the amplified signal to an optical line 150. Thus, it is easy to attain zero dispersion of the optical fiber on the optical line through the adjustment of the dispersion compensation filter and fiber. In addition, in the case that the dispersion changes due to deterioration in the optical fiber on the optical line, the compensation has not been maintained by the dispersion compensation fiber only, but continuous compensation is facilitated by using the dispersion compensation filter in addition. |
