PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the occurrence of a color smear in a subscanning direction on a photoreceptor in a digital copying machine, etc., regardless of the outside-diameter deflection, eccentricity, gear accuracy, etc., of the drive transmission element of the photoreceptor. SOLUTION: The moving time of a photoreceptor drum 21 from an irradiation point D with a laser beam 24 to an irradiation point E with another laser beam 27 is the integral multiple of one rotational period (t) of a gear pulley 47. Therefore, a difference is not made in a rotational amount error direction, between the writing of an image by the irradiation with the laser beam 24 and that by the irradiation with the laser beam 27. Thus, the color smear in the subscanning direction caused by the writing positional deviation in the subscanning direction on the drum 21, between the first and second colors, due to the outside-diameter deflection of the gear pulley 47 never occurs. |
