PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device which makes a quantity of heat supplied to a transfer material from a fixing means even, and prints an image which is less in irregularity in gloss obtained after fixing. SOLUTION: A motor control means 41 for a driving means which rotates and drives a fixing roller 1 is provided with a transfer-material-carrying adjustment means which is operated at least one and after the second rotation of the fixing means 2 and decreases carrying speed in a fixing process. After the transfer material enters a fixing nip and the fixing roller 1 makes one rotation to apply heat and pressure to toner on the transfer material at the fixing nip while carrying the transfer material at the speed corresponding to the peripheral speed of the fixing roller 1, the transfer-material-carrying adjustment means is turned on to decrease the speed at which the fixing roller 1 is rotated by the driving means 40 and hence the speed at which the transfer material is carried is made slow, thereby increasing a quantity of heat supplied to the transfer material. Thus, irregularity in the gloss of the front and rear parts of the transfer material is reduced. |
