Using smart card to effect transactions over telecommunications network

The terminal accepting the smart cards has multiple interfaces to read the different cards, one to accept a dedicated telephone subscription card (1) and the other to accept multi-application cards (2) to allow the control of the application selected over a telecommunication network (50). The subscription card communicates with the multi-application card via the terminal.
