PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner residual amount detecting device and a process cartridge using the device capable of detecting toner amount to the value of smaller residual amount. SOLUTION: A device for detecting the residual amount of the toner T stored in a toner storage part 3b is provided with a follow-up member moving by following the fluctuation of the upper level position of the stored toner T and a detection means detecting the residual amount of the toner T by detecting the position of the follow-up member. The follow-up member can move to the bottom part or the vicinity of the bottom part of the storage part 3b as the toner is decreased. |
