PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming system which can confirm the states of a copying machine and its peripheral device at and after a stage when the power supply of the peripheral device is applied and also can explain the constitution of a copy system and the state of the peripheral device of a warm-up mode to a user in an easy-to-understand way. SOLUTION: A CPU 44 of a digital copying machine diagnoses the state of its own copying machine by itself after a power supply is applied and then changes the display state of a liquid crystal display part of a control panel 45 while confirming successively the information on a peripheral device attached to the copying machine such as its state or situation, etc., as long as no initial abnormality of the copying machine is not confirmed. When a workable state is set for a copy system, a display part show that the copying machine is workable and also standing by. |
