PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device which is capable of switching a process speed and preventing a offset and a failure in fixing, in the case images are consecutively formed. SOLUTION: At the time of consecutively forming the images, on the high speed side of the process speed, during the period from the completion of the ejection from the fixing device 7, of a recording material P to the entering into the fixing device 7, of the next recording material, for instance a set temp. is lowered in a state where the energization of a heating body is continued, to attain fixation for a fixed number of recording materials P at the set temp. and subsequently, the set temp. is gradually lowered during the above-motioned period after the fixation for the fixed number of recording materials P, similarly, so that a high-temperature offset can be prevented, while the process speed is kept at a high speed. On the other hand, on the low speed side of the process speed, the energization of the heating body is stopped and a proper set temp. is decided for instance with a temperature-drop rate during the stop, so that even if the images are consecutively formed, the high temperature offset can be prevented. |
