PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To support more than one user definition routine which can be represented in more than one language by providing a stage where an instance of a user definition routine(UDR) is generated and initialized and execution context for the UDR is generated. SOLUTION: A request from a client 178 is supplied to a purser (syntax analysis tree) 180 so as to analyze a data base instruction and a function. The syntax-analyzed function is supplied to a UDR determiner 184. In response, the UDR determiner 184 looks up the functions of a system catalogue 186 that includes the language in which the function is written more in detail about the syntax-analyzed function. When an instance is not generated yet, an instance of the UDR is generated and then initialized to generate the execution context for the UDR.
