PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid water splash from a condenser of an air conditioner for evaporating a drain water produced in an evaporator by the heat radiated from the condenser. SOLUTION: The spot type air conditioner having an evaporator 7 and condenser 8 in a casing 2 comprises a drain pan 10 for recovering a drain water produced in the evaporator 7, drain pump 25 for pumping up and feeding the water to the condenser 8 for radiating a heat to evaporate the water, and orifice formed by partly reducing the aperture of the inner passage of a water feed pipe 27 connected to the outlet of the drain pump 25, thereby giving a flow resistance to the drain water enough to limit the drain water feed rate to the condenser 8. |
