PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a modem with good operability that is used for data communication in a health management network. SOLUTION: This modem 22 has a digital port 46 connected to a health information measurement device, an analog port 42 which can be connected to a telephone set, an analog port 44 connectable to a facsimile equipment, a selector 64 that selects the ports, and a mode selector 66. Then a 2nd mode is selected, a health management network is connected taking precedence over a telephone set or a facsimile equipment. |
