<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To directly acquire data from a WWW server on a network without passing through an information processor and to prevent unnecessary data from being acquired by deterring a data acquiring means from operating once it is determined prior to acquisition that the data to be acquired is a specified data file. SOLUTION: This image forming device acquires information contained in homepages from WWW servers 12 and 13 through a network I/F part 7. It is determined whether or not data to be acquired is a previously specified data file, and when it is determined that the data is the specified data file before acquisition, control is so performed to deter the operation for data acquisition. When there is, for example, an HREF option, an HREF processing is started by HTML Parser 253, and when it is recognized that the file to be acquired is a sound file or CGI, access to the WWW servers 12 and 13 is stopped. Consequently, unnecessary data which need not be printed are not acquired.</p> |
