摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow information to be recorded with a higher density on an optical information record medium where information is recorded by using holography. SOLUTION: An outgoing beam of a laser coupler 20 is modulated according to a difference of the polarized light directions by a spatial light modulation machine 16, is separated into information light and reference light by making their focal positions differ from each other by S-polarized hologram 15, is rotary-polarized so that the polarized directions of the information light and the reference light agree with each other in an area where the information light and the reference light overlap each other by a hologram layer 3, and is emitted on the hologram layer 3 via an object lens 12 and a solid immersion lens 29 for recording an interference pattern. By using the solid immersion lens 29, it is possible to increase an angle between the information light and the reference light in an optical information record medium 1 and permit a high density recording.
