Mixing unit for hot and cold water - is monitored by electrical sensor and controlled by electro valve

A mixer unit (1) for hot and cold water has an electrically operated regulator valve (10). A sensor (6) which produces electrical signals monitors the water temperature after mixing. These signals are processed by the control electronics (8). From here the regulator is governed such that the required water temperature is maintained. The sensor is pref. of the bimetallic type in which a transducer converts the degree of movement into an electrical signal. The direct control avoids wastage of heat energy.
