A multiple-layer printing blanket, in particular an offset printing blanket, has a covering layer consisting of rubber or rubber-like material and forming the surface of the printing blanket. Below it there is an elastically resilient intermediate layer of rubber or rubber-like material, at least one rubber-coated textile structure being arranged between the covering layer and the intermediate layer. Below the intermediate layer there is at least one textile high-strength substrate layer consisting of threads which have little stretch. In order to provide a multiple-layer printing blanket which achieves low stretch values with little technical outlay, the high-strength substrate layer (17) has threads which absorb tensile force and are arranged extending in a planar manner owing to the design of the high-strength substrate layer (17).
