PEAT SCARIFIER

FIELD: agricultural machinery and equipment. SUBSTANCE: scarifier relates to devices for surface loosening of peat deposit used in mining of peat raw material for agricultural and industrial needs. Scarifier has frame with supporting wheels. Frame is pivotally connected with side beams which carry peat loosening members and furrow bottom covering members. Each loosening member is made up of ring and symmetrically arranged spikes. Side walls of spikes are adjoining internal wall of ring over radius. Width of spikes and ring is similar. Side surfaces of spikes are made as spherical. Also provided are Y-shaped frames which are rigidly attached to end-face parts of side beams. Installed on each side beam is one additional section of loosening members. Extreme loosening members in additional sections are made in the form of continuous rings. Application of aforesaid embodiment of peat scarifier prevents creation of ridges made by ground wheels which helps increase speed of drying of produced spread of peat raw material due to free draining of atmospheric precipitation.
