<p>A display has an optical waveguide plate (12) which light enters, an actuator substrate (18) which is opposed to one of the plate surfaces of the optical waveguide plate (12) and on which actuators (14) the number of which corresponds to the number of pixels, pixel structures (102) formed on the actuators (14), and crosspieces (70) provided between the optical waveguide plate (12) and the actuator substrate (18) in the areas other than the pixel structures (102). The gaps between the optical waveguide plate and the pixel structures can be defined easily and uniformly over all the pixels.</p> |
