APPARATUS FOR CUTTING MOVING TUBES

FIELD: tube manufacture, namely cutting tubes by means of flying cut-off devices. SUBSTANCE: tube is moved on roller table; cutting tool is moved along circle around tube in cross direction and in direction of tube motion. Apparatus includes carriage 1 with rotating drum 3. Tool for cutting tube with possibility of chamfering it is in the form of cutters 7 and it is mounted in guides 6 of disc chuck 4 secured to drum 3. Tool is provided with lever 8 whose one end is jointly connected with cutter and other end - with ring 9. Drive unit for rotating ring 9 relative to drum is in the form of separate electric drive or in the form of chevron gear transmission. Drive unit for axially moving shaft is in the form of double-arm lever 12 whose one end is joined with shaft and other end - with roller 13 for engaging with template 14. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of tube cutting at simultaneously chamfering it. 2 dwg
