A reinforced handle (H) having a predetermined notched profile configuration (10) is formed from outer handle panels (30, 32) folded about a first line of symmetry (31) and reinforcing panels (20, 22) folded about a second line of symmetry (21), the outer handle panels having a first aperture (34, 36, 38) of a first predetermined configuration which is substantially symmetrical about said first line of symmetry and the reinforcement panels having a second aperture (24, 26, 28) of a second predetermined configuration corresponding to the first predetermined configuration and which is substantially symmetrical about the second line of symmetry such that a notched profile (10) defined by the first aperture and the second aperture and which minimizes visibility of inner surfaces of the outer handle panel and reinforcement panel is exhibited.
