An antigen specific to Ménière's disease and comprising a ganglioside having the sequence represented by NeuAc alpha 2-3Gal beta 1-4GlcNAc beta 1-3Gal beta 1-4GlcNAc beta 1-3Gal beta 1-4Glc beta 1-1Cer; a reagent kit containing the above specific antigen and used for detecting an antibody peculiar to Ménière's disease; an immunoassay for detecting an antibody peculiar to Ménière's disease by using the specific antigen; a reagent kit containing the above specific antigen and used for selectively isolating or removing an antibody peculiar to Ménière's disease; and a method for isolating or removing the above antibody.
